Low energy structure of above-threshold ionization spectra produced by mid-infrared laser pulses

The low-energy structure (LES) of above-threshold ionization (ATI) atoms subjected to an intense laser field is a hot topic in the strong-field atomic physics. rich physical insights behind LES attract lot attention. Based on semi-classical model, two-step (SCTS) quantum trajectory model and numerical solution time-dependent Schrödinger equation (TDSE), we study pulse-duration dependence for Xe atom mid-infrared field. It found that energy becomes lower shorter pulse duration. Further analysis shows case multi-cycle field, LESn closely related number times forward scattering initial transverse momentum. In few-cycle pulse, carrier-envelope phase (CEP) peak position mainly due CEP influence both vector-potential Coulomb potential. addition, bunching effect electrons, caused by potential, main reason formation LES.
